Lausanne Summit

Each year for the past 4 years, the City of Lausanne has held a world summit for representatives of all past, present, future and aspiring Olympic cities. The first two summits were held in Lausanne.

Last year's was in Beijing, China.

2011's summit was hosted by the city of Rio de Janeiro in Copacabana.

Roy has been the moderator for all of these prestigious events.

These summits deal with complex topics such as urban regeneration, sustainability, environmental impact, lasting legacy of the Olympics. It is a best-practice event attended by the mayors and senior officials from each city's government.

International Olympic Committee: Bidding for the Olympic Games Conference

This was an inaugural event by the International Olympic Committee held in Lausanne, Switzerland in early November 2011.

Attended by senior officials from cities all around the world interested in bidding for future Olympic Games, Roy introduced the president of the IOC Dr Jacques Rogge, guest speakers such as Sebastian Coe from London 2012, Demitry Chernyshenko from Sochi 2014 in Russia and Carlos Nuzman from Rio 2016. Roy's duties included chairing unscripted panel discussions with the above speakers as well as detailed Q&A sessions with senior executives from the IOC.
